T-Mobile’s New Release, the BlackBerry 9900

T-Mobile has done it again. Releasing smart phones one after the other, this time it has a particularly impressive phone - the all new BlackBerry Bold 9900 which also goes by the name of the BlackBerry Dakota. This particular phone has been talked about by many, with many sneak peek previews of the specifications and the look being leaked onto various websites. Many avid users of the BlackBerry have thus been waiting for the release of this phone with bated breath, as they wait eagerly to be the first to flash it around their circles. While many may, of course, want the phone to be sold as cheaply as possible, most had to keep the wanting to themselves as the BlackBerry 9900 price, following its release by T-Mobile, was pretty steep. It pays to be the first to own a flashy phone, but you have to pay for it first.

This new phone from T-Mobile is bound to give the android and iOS platform phones a run for their money. The sleek design of the phone will definitely make it a favorite of many all over the globe. The downside, however, according to T-Mobile, is that while the BlackBerry OS 7 embedded within the phone is a significant improvement over its predecessors, it still hasn’t quite lived up to the android and iOS apps’ standards. Sure, the phone boasts unique applications, but apparently RIM will have to go back to the drawing board for a powerful comeback against these two platforms.

T-Mobile promises though that this phone will simply not be a disappointment. While the recent new releases of the BlackBerry haven’t been too eye catching, this particular phone will ruffle more than a few feathers amongst its competitors. The screen, in particular, is very sleek and satisfyingly large. At 2.8 inches, the screen will hardly disappoint. Its resolution however is even more impressive, offering a very sharp picture of 640 by 480 pixels. T-Mobile placed this BlackBerry phone amongst the new breed of very high speed internet 4G phones. The browsing speed on the OS 7 is very much improved over the previous versions; and it is not just the browsing speed, but this particular phone has much faster response and processing than the older BlackBerry phones.

Though the upfront price of the Dakota is not the cheapest around, the phone is the fastest smart phone BlackBerry to date and thus it could be considered reasonable.
