BlackBerry Dakota - A Great Effort from RIM

The BlackBerry Dakota, a masterpiece straight from the RIM engineers, is a must have for any lover of the BlackBerry. Looking at this phone from your ordinary smart phone view that covers the basic smart phone capabilities will be very wrong indeed. Even long before its release, this phone was the talk of the globe for quite a while. Also known as the BlackBerry Bold 9900, a quick look into the phone will reveal the unparalleled level of expertise that went into its creation. While some will argue that the BlackBerry 9900 price is not the humblest out there, it is a good phone that deserves credit.

What exactly is so special about this particular phone? The answer is loads and loads of stuff. First off, the phone has killer looks. The people at RIM really outdid themselves on this one. While tons of people have fallen hard for the BlackBerry line of smart phones, particularly because of their high score in the looks department, this one will simply knock them dead. It features a black surface with a huge touch screen that complements the whole phone. It has a very stylish shape. Surprisingly, it’s actually more beautiful on the inside.

The phone has amazing specifications. A QC 8655 processor running at a speed of 1.2GHz cancels out speed as a problem in this phone. It will run satisfyingly fast and get your desired operations done in record time. It also features a 2.8-inch 640 x 480 resolution touch screen display which is simply an add on to the full BlackBerry QWERTY keypad that is the hallmark of the BlackBerry phone. The dual means of accessing the phone will give pure joy to the owner, as it reduces the monotony of having to work on buttons the whole day, or having to sustain accuracy on the touch screen. The phone also possesses an eye-catching memory, featuring 8GB of internal storage memory coupled with a micro SD slot for memory, upgradable up to 32 GB. A 768 MB RAM reduces the chances of your phone hanging as a result of memory use. Also present is a pretty standard 5MP camera that is quite the norm with the smart phones of the modern age. This camera, however, is only standard when it comes to the smart phone. Other phones have a camera that doesn’t boast of as much resolution.

The BlackBerry Dakota is pure beauty, both outside and inside.
